Course Outlines

bulletCourse outlines indicate the material to be delivered in a given course.  When a student enrolls for a particular course there is an implicit contract that he or she will be taught the material indicated in the course outline. Institutions and employers will expect the student to be familiar with the material indicated in the course outline.  Students should protest if lecturers stray too far from the course outline.  Students are responsible for making sure they are properly prepared to handle the material indicated in the course outline.
bulletStudents should note that the appearance of a course outline in this list is no guarantee that the course will be taught.
bulletSome of these outlines contain typographical errors.
bulletThe recommended text book mentioned in the course outline may not be the same as the one actually used for the course.  The table below gives a more up-to-date list of titles.  Students should consult their lecturer before making any buying decisions.
